Question: What is the exact height of the medium crate from the floor to the top edge of the cover? The stated measurements are misleading.
Answer: 32.5” x 22.5” x 23.5”

Question: Can my dog lift off the topper? If my dog wanted to "get out" and tried to push the lid/topper off, would she be able to or does it secure?
Answer: I guess this would depend what kind of dog you have. We have only been using this kennel for 1 week, our dog is a small 12 lb. maltese so he is NOT able to do anything like that, it is very secure. I am happy with this purchase!

Question: How far apart are the bars?? I wanted to use it for a ferret.
Answer: They are about 1-1/2” apart and my husband says it could easily be used for a ferret.

Question: My dog is a 35 lb Border collie, should I get the medium or the large?
Answer: I believe Large would be good. I bought a large for a German Shepherd. The large is 31.5 inches height. There's room for the dog to stand comfortably without hitting the roof of the crate.
